A Kildare native, I first qualified as a registered general nurse in the Mater Hospital with over 22 years of experience in management, learning, and development. This allowed me to bring these skills into business where I now work as a Company Director and while also working as a mother of three I made the decision to return to study in University College Cork.
This wasn’t without its challenges. Juggling work, home life, parenting and a 400 km commute was not by any means easy. As we all know change asks us to move out of our comfort zone! Feelings of awkwardness and discomfort were accompanied by feelings of excitement, hope, optimism and embracing a new learning process to support my career, and personal and professional development.
I was delighted to have graduated from U.C.C. in the fields of Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology with a focus on bringing about positive change. Positive Psychology is the science of well-being, strengths, and the achievement of our potential. I bring my own unique leadership style to my work using my strengths in communication, humour and engagement to build positive relationships to support change and healthy development.
